A note from Chris Martin, ISS Key Account Portfolio Director for FCDO

From 1 May, 2026, ISS will deliver cleaning, catering, technical and workplace services to FCDO sites across the UK. We are extremely excited about the new partnership and the opportunities it brings.
​
​You and the team delivering these services to FCDO are critical to its success so we are looking forward to you joining us.
​
​​121 Meetings
We have nearly completed all 121 meetings with colleagues transferring to ISS. It was great to meet you all and we using the information we have gathered to ensure you are set up on our systems and ready to transfer to ISS on 1 May.
​
​​Collective Consultation Update
Our meetings with ‘employee representatives’ which includes Mitie, Compass and Union representatives continues. If you have any questions about any potential changes, please ask your employee Rep so that they can raise them in these meetings.

In other News
I thought I’d share an update from the ISS World this month to give you an insight into our organisation:
Last week we held a special event ceremony in our London office to celebrate our monthly Apple Award Winners and announce this year’s UK & Ireland Annual Apple Award Winner. The Apple award recognises the exceptional work of customer-facing colleagues in making a difference for our customers. The winner, Cormack Mylchreest works at one of our hospital contracts; Chelsea & Westminster and was presented with a cheque for £3000 towards a holiday of choice.

We hope to have an Apple Award winner on our FCDO contract in the future!
About You
The TUPE process and rules of engagement means that communication with transferring colleagues is restricted to agreed channels (this website, formal consultation and 121s) until we start the new contract on 1 May and you transfer to ISS.
​From that point, we will be able to meet the team properly and work together on the future partnership with FCDO. 
We hope you are feeling quietly positive about the move to ISS. I know it’s difficult dealing with the unknown but you should feel assured that ISS is a great organisation to work for and we are planning on delivering a great contract for FCDO.
